PLAN DATE: SUN / SEP. 16
If you can believe it, we absolutely love to hear about real-life love stories in New York. We pretty much live for it. That’s why we were super pumped when we saw one of our favorite IG couples, Olivia Muenter and her boyfriend, Jake, got engaged a few weeks ago. It was a wonderfully lovely and low-key rooftop proposal (yes, they live in a real apartment in NYC with outdoor space), and we wanted to celebrate by creating a date night plan in their neighborhood inspired by their love story.
Stop one: Bar Coastal for football and food. A true neighborhood gem with great bar bites, cold beers, and amazing service, this is the local watering hole to best spend your Sunday if you’re a couple that enjoys watching the big game. Let’s go Jets!
Post-game (or pre-game if you head to the bar for the night game), head to Orwashers Bakery for a sweet treat to enjoy on your walk home or cuddled up on the couch later. This long-running artisanal bread maker also churns out unreal black and white cookies, jelly doughnuts, rugelach and pretty much whatever else your sweet tooth could be craving.

idk tip: We come for the lively atmosphere, but we stay for the wings and waffle fries.

idk tip: Yes, the black and white cookies are the most famous, but the oatmeal and chocolate chip give them a run for their money.
