PLAN DATE: WEDS / MAY 2
Right now is the time to make your move, because once the word gets out about Beebe’s pizza, you and yours will have to suffer the agonizing waits familiar to anyone who has a favorite pizza joint. Hidden inside Boro Hotel, newly-opened Beebe’s brings Emmy Squared and Paulie Gee’s alum Lou Tomczak to LIC. The wood-fired oven gets a lot of action from the New York-style thin crust pizzas that come out cooked to perfection—choose traditional toppings like vodka sauce, mozz, and Parm, or try options like the homemade sausage in the Jimmy Forager and Hot Italian.
From our experience, a belly full of pizza wants only one thing: beer. Head to LIC Beer Project and post up in their taproom, where you’ll be able to sample a number of farmhouse saisons, porters, sours, and IPAs, all brewed on premises. If you find something you like, make sure to take a growler back home with you to keep the good times going off premises.
