PLAN DATE: SAT / APR. 6
At first glance, you might consider passing by BK Jani, even if you are craving Pakistani food in a gentrified zone of Brooklyn (let’s be real, Bushwick!). The joint is small and the food may be served over a counter on paper plates, but everything else from the food to the decor will delight your senses. The owners make the most of a small space with vibrant art painted floor to ceiling on the walls along with cartoonish drawings and magnetized words arranged in a jumble. As for food, their Jani burger is one of the best in the city, made with high-quality grass-fed beef and differentiated with spicy mint chutney. If you’re looking for another great way to get the meat sweats, their kabobs and lamb chops are worth it—and you can always dab each other’s brow with a masala french fry.
After dinner at BK Jani amble over to The Rack Shack to experience Butt Dream. Held in an all-inclusive, incredibly welcoming bra boutique, Butt Dream is a monthly comedy show that promises to live up to its setting with content that’s equal parts sexy, empowering, and hilarious. Hosted by Julie Mitchell and Brian Bahe, this month’s lineup pulls talent with credits from HBO, Just For Laughs, and the NY Comedy Festival. Best of all, it’s free, so you can be entertained and empowered together for the sexy price of nothing.
