Bottino x Speakeasy Magick

Even with all the restaurants in New York trying to do something avant garde or unique, sometimes you just want classic dishes. Bottino’s got you covered with a menu full of Tuscan pasta dishes done traditionally and done well. The decor continues this theme with clean lines accentuated with ivory walls and a long wood polished bar. The exception is their back garden area, which features a swath of overgrown ivy. Bottino is known for it’s wine list, complete with some boutique wines you won’t sip on anywhere else.

After dinner, prepare to be amazed and astounded (or at the very least, entertained) at Speakeasy Magick. Held in the McKittrick Hotel, this show bypasses the sprawling hotel space where the infamous Sleep No More takes place and instead transports you to The Club Car on the top floor. After stepping out of the vintage elevator, you’ll settle into an intimate performance space and bar. They have a selection of bubbling potions (aka drinks on drinks) that are only matched in their mystery by the magic show. Hosted by sideshow extraordinaire Todd Robbins, the show has a revolving cast of top-tier close up magicians who make pulling a rabbit out of a hat look like child’s play.
