PLAN DATE: SAT / SEP. 8
Tonight, keep things casual, but lively, starting with The Bronx Beer Hall. With a massive supply of Italian vendors, this beer (and food) hall has a no-frills sort of style, but plenty of culture and charm. With natural light pouring in through the pitched skylights, vendors nearly stacked on top of each other, offering options like Mike’s Deli’s paninis, Café El Mercato’s pizza, and craft beer from local breweries, and Italian meats hanging from storefronts, this is the Diagon Alley of the Bronx’s Little Italy.
After the two of you have eaten, take a short walk over to the Bronx Zoo. With over 265 acres of space, the attention to detail here is mind-blowing. This massive zoo is rocking gorgeously reproduced habitats, an amazing zip line 50 feet over the Bronx River (which you can ride side-by-side with your S.O.), and exhibits that include everything from the Congo Gorilla Forest and African Plains to the Himalayan Highlands and Baboon Reserve. Today is for your wild side.

idk tip: Despite the focus on beer and food, there are also some fantastic local wine suppliers here for your choosing.

idk tip: They offer an option to drink and sightsee during the evening (without any children around) at their Brew at the Zoo—but this is a rare event, so keep an eye out for future dates.
