If you’re into shopping, waterfront views, and upscale food courts, head to Brookfield Place. To be honest, Victoria and Graig are not really the mall type, but they did enjoy a recent event Brookfield Place organized. Keep up to date with Brookfield’s impressive roster of events here, and listen below to hear why, overall, Victoria and Graig think couples may fare better in SoHo.

The food was fast and the staff were busy but polite. The food is cafeteria-style so the key is efficiency, and they definitely have that down.
Fun Factor: 6
Brookfield Place is essentially a high end shopping center. The location is beautiful, and the waterfront plaza has picturesque views. BUT unless you’re there to eat at a specific restaurant, it’s not a destination for “fun” (unless shopping is your idea of fun, in which case it would be great, but that’s not the case for us).
We went to Brookfield Place because of a free concert series they have in the summer (The Lowdown Music Fest). As a venue for an outdoor show, it was great – well produced, organized, and comfortable. But unless there’s an event going on, Brookfield Place itself is not enough of an attraction to warrant a return visit for us.
Service Rating: 6
The restaurant was a cafeteria style place, we took the food to go and ate outside in the court yard. The food was good, service was good, nothing special either way.
Fun Factor: 4
I gave it a 4 which may be a bit deceiving. We went for a particular event which was amazing and very well done. I would say that their events are worth going to. Being that events are not the norm there, and are not the main reason for going I gave it a low score. If there was not an event going on I would not have enjoyed myself. It is a upscale mall, and not a place I would prefer to be if not for some other factor.
