PLAN DATE: SUN / JUNE 2
If you’ve never had a chance to visit the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the summer’s a great time to go. With seasonal tours of the garden, interactive installations, and art exhibits, the garden marks the confluence of human creativity and nature at it’s most beautiful. Tonight, you and your lover will be enjoying the Sonic Succulents exhibit. This incredible installation lets visitors interact with plant life through touch and sound, exploring concepts around plant growth, communication, ecology, and sustainability. The garden closes at 6pm, so just remember to factor that into your plans for the evening.
Your next stop is The Bearded Lady, a cozy, mellow bar featuring finely crafted drinks and small bites. Serving fantastic fresh oysters along with killer libations (try anything made with an egg white for an added kick), you’ll also find more savory sharable and snackable food options. Choose from items like nachos or hot pretzels with horseradish dipping sauce, or order a grilled cheese made with beer cheese and pickles to go with your classy cocktails.
