Tonight, we’re turning the term “meet-cute” into “meat-cute,” courtesy of The Cannibal’s uniquely meaty menu. This Belgian-inspired restaurant serves up some bold options that start small (roasted bone marrow, with the add-on option of a “whiskey pour”) and end big (General Tso’ pigs head), and the layout is equally impressive. In fact, it’s split in three; and the two of you can either opt for their bar setting (a narrow room with exposed bricks, green skinny lap, and a massive chopping block dividing their refrigerated collection of 300+ beer options), their larger dining room which is decidedly more upscale, or their outdoor garden patio.
After dinner, make your way over to the Roof at Park South. Located atop the Park South Hotel in Kips Bay, this Mediterranean bar is ripe with laidback vibes, with its zen pond, brick fire pit, blood orange umbrellas, and skyline views that fit in both the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building. What’s more is that their cocktail selection is unashamedly aimed at summer loving—with Between the Sheets (Grand Reserve rum, dry curacao, Pierre Ferrand cognac, and lemon) and Afternoon Delight (Tanqueray 10, campari, lemon, and Stone Tangerine Express IPA) being the standouts.
