Ceetay x Gun Hill Tavern

The zone around Hunts Point and South Bronx is definitely a hot spot on the foodie trail this year, with even the Michelin inspectors taking notice and featuring the Japanese gem, Ceetay, in the 2019 Michelin Guide. Seating is limited, in true Japanese style, but perch yourself at one of the kitchen stools facing the open kitchen and you’re in a prime position to watch the cooks precisely prepare each of the inventive Asian dishes on the menu. Bonus points for a beer and wine list that pairs well with the food, and cozy interior design.

Gun Hill Brewing Co. was the first production brewery in the Bronx since 1961 and Gun Hill Tavern is their second location in NYC. Showcasing their finest brews with eight draft lines, plus cans of other local beers, ciders, spirits, and wines, this bright open “warehouse loft” space also offers an upscale gastropub menu, including a can’t-miss “build your own” burger. In the warmer months, the floor to ceiling windows open up and create the perfect spot to sip on a few brews in the sun.
