Start tonight at a Williamsburg gem that exemplifies fusion cuisine—Chive Blossom. The aesthetic is all part of the owners’ mission to serve global Asian cuisine in a cozy space so guests feel right at home. The menu includes plenty of traditional favorites but with some twists. Embrace your innovative side with shumai served with charred leeks, or chicken egg white drop soup made with kombucha squash broth. It’s all about the old meeting the new here.

Follow that up with drinks at Simple Cafe & Restaurant. A French-Algerian spot with an incredible menu for food and drinks alike, you’ll be enjoying their drinks tonight. With beers and wines from all over the world (we’re talking everything from a Red Syrah Valley De France to the Carakale Ale from Jordan) you’re sure to find something that tickles your tastebuds here. And, if you’re feeling more of a coffee night, they’ve got you. Enjoy their Vietnamese iced coffee, or their Moroccan herbal tea to keep with the global theme for the night. P.S. their happy hour goes from 5pm—8pm daily, small bites are $7 and all beers and wines are $5.
