Communitea x Dessert Goals

PLAN DATE: SAT / MAR. 23

PLAN DETAILS:

Before you double down on the sweets, give your stomachs a little bit of fresh, savory substance with some comfort food fare and a strong cup of coffee or tea at the chic Communitea in LIC. The big, airy, and modern space is great for hanging out before a big event, and the menu has all the digs you need to settle your appetite before indulging in a heavy load of treats. Think delicate, delicious quiche, Buddha bowls (a big bowl of greens, grains, seasonal vegetables & avocado), and a range of sandwiches with everything from the Fancy-Pants Grilled Cheese (grilled cheese on artisan bread) to the Meatloaf Sammy (grass-fed beef, hard-boiled egg, lettuce, tomato, drizzled with our house-made BBQ sauce on a parker-house bun). Throw in a soup for a healthily foolproof meal that’ll get you both ready to dig into some sugar.

The theme for Dessert Goals this year is “Party Animal”, and the curators haven’t left anything wild or wonderful out of planning this sweet tooth extravaganza. 20 + vendors means exclusive desserts, candy bars from classic candies Red Vines and Sour Patch, complimentary beverages from companies like Boxed Water, a savory salt bar for all your palate cleanser needs, and an Instagram garden, for all the cute, candy-couple pics you’ve ever imagined possible. If sensually feeding each other sweets is something you’re into, then this will be heaven for you and your person.
