PLAN DATE: WEDS / MAY 1
If convincing your SO to take a dance class was a major effort and convincing them to pay for one is another story, then the Dance Party in Bryant Park is perfect for your outing. Happening every Wednesday, completely free to the public, and open to all ages, this dance series brings top-notch instructors and bands to the green space. Led by percussionist Tito Puente Jr, the first hour is dedicated to learning easy steps and just as the sun sets, the band kicks off with an hour and half of music for you to show off your new moves.
Sashay over to L’Adresse right across from the park for well-earned libations. This upscale cafe has a slick eurocentric vibe with sleek wood-paneled walls and tables, chrome accents, and mellow lighting. In addition to serving high-quality caffeine boosts all day, they have a decent list of wines and refreshing spring cocktails like the Ginger Smash or Aperol Spritz. Their dishes arrive in small and well-decorated portions to bring you sophisticated flavors like squid ink pasta, grilled octopus, or lamb kofta.
