Feroce Ristorante x Rare View

PLAN DATE: THURS / MAY 30

PLAN DETAILS:

Start your night as the day ends watching the sunset on the roof of Rare View. A rarity in New York, this is a rooftop that isn’t fussy or bougie, and you won’t find $50 cocktails here. Take the elevator of the Hilton Hotel 23 floors up and you’ll find a simple wooden bar and a 3000 square foot terrace, with a super impressive view offering 360-degree views of New York’s landmark buildings (the Empire State, the Met Life Building, Bank of NY & Freedom Tower). The spot offers a cozy, laid back vibe with exposed wood, landscaping, overhanging rope lights, and vintage photographs. The cocktail menu features drinks with quirky names like Swipe Right (light rum, mango & guava, lime) and the Hot Mess Margarita (el jimador tequila, orange, lime, and jalapeño). You’ll also find a good offering of rosé, white and red wines, plus a small draft beer menu.

Housed inside the Moxy Hotel Chelsea, Feroce Ristorante is the brainchild of the nightlife kingpins behind TAO, and the Italian stallion Francesco Panella behind the restaurant Antica Pesa in Rome and Brooklyn. Feroce Ristorante is a celebration of Italian gastronomy, dressed in luscious palettes of jewel tones and cognac. It’s filled with intimate round booths and striped leather banquettes, which take inspiration from the upholstery of vintage Ferraris, as well as a terrace with indoor and outdoor seating. Keeping true to tradition, ingredients are imported from historic brands and small producers from Italy, supplemented with local fresh produce sourced from New York.
