PLAN DATE: THURS / MAY 3
You know them for their New York mainstays like Balthazar, Pastis, and Minetta Tavern. At new kid on the (Tribeca) block Frenchette, Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson deliver classic and comforting French flavors with an understated spin. However, in lieu of the traditional wine list that tours Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Loire Valley, the duo has enlisted wine director Jorge Riera to craft a wine program that focuses on natural wines. Hailing from Contra and Wildair, Riera brings an eye for challenging and exciting discoveries, which pairs nicely with the contemporary, lightened-up traditional fare that Nasr and Hanson are serving.
After dinner, beeline to Anotheroom, a neighborhood bar tucked away in the middle of the New York hustle and bustle. Small and cozy with industrial decor, high velvet benches, and candlelight, this Tribeca hideaway makes for the perfect setting for your date night tryst.
