PLAN DATE: SUN / FEB. 24
The Brooklyn Museum is a museum that often gets overlooked but is truly spectacular and deserves more mention. All the exhibits currently on display are bound to get you talking—we love the “A Woman’s Afterlife: Gender Transformation in Ancient Egypt” exhibit that tells the incredible story of gender transformation in the ancient world, and explores differences between male and female access to the afterlife. On Sundays, the museum is open until 6 p.m., so factor that into your plans for the evening. To see what else is cool, check out all the upcoming exhibits here.
Then head to Glady’s—a Caribbean restaurant nearby for island food and rum. A short and simple Caribbean menu (items like “whole fish” & “half chicken”), affordable cocktails and an extensive rum collection worthy of Jack Sparrow’s praise make Gladys’ the perfect end to an especially fun Sunday night out.
