WHAT WE THOUGHT:
Gran Electrica is a beautiful waterfront restaurant in the heart of (always up and coming) Dumbo. Though rained out from sitting on their beautiful patio, Jessie and Ryan thought the food and drinks were above average. Bonus: pre or post-dinner, Brooklyn Bridge Park is just a few steps away for a Manhattan skyline photo-op.

I got the verduras tacos, and they were totally fine. Nothing to write home about. Asked for hot sauce and their hot sauces were SO SPICY that I couldn’t even use them. Ryan got “Queso Fundido de Chorizo con Papas” and he wasn’t blown away. It was essentially deconstructed nachos. Not really an entree type dish.

It started pouring rain while we were on the patio, and the staff worked really hard to get everyone seated inside as quickly as possible.

It’s just a beautiful restaurant. You want to take lots of photos. It has that cool “Instagram” look to it. You definitely feel like you’re in a cool place.

I got the Chorizo Queso Fundito, and it was pretty good. This might be the kind of place where you order a lot with a group and share. The taco portions are really small, so I opted for a different dish. But I wouldn’t recommend the Fundito for an entree; it works better as an app.

It’s right next to the promenade, so the location is sweet. Also, the restaurant is really pretty inside and outside. But to note: the prices are really high for the amount you’re given. You’re definitely paying for the location.
