PLAN DATE: WEDS / MAY 22
Craving schnitzels, wursts, good beer or pretzels? You can get them all at Heidelberg, the last-standing Yorkville German eatery. This place is truly like a little slice of Germany, with wooden tables, low lights, and a relaxed vibe. It’s like you’ve been transported to date night at a Bavarian mountain house. And outdoor seating to boot! As for what to order, definitely try the Wiener schnitzel—the veal’s breading has a mouth-watering citrus taste, and if you’d rather get the schnitzel with chicken, just ask! The waitstaff is super friendly and accommodating, especially for this particular request. Prost to Heidelberg! (That’s German for cheers.)
If a sports bar is what you desire next, Five Mile Stone will most certainly do. Two floors filled with mostly local Upper East Siders, this place can get lit. Downstairs is on the chiller side (aside from live music nights which happen here sporadically) and upstairs is where you’ll find a DJ blasting Top 40 hits. People are known to dance here, so be advised. If it’s heating up on the dance floor, you can always step onto the second-floor balcony for a breather—definitely great during summer months. If you’re more in the mood to watch some sports, there are tons of TVs around the bar as well.

idk tip: You might not expect this from a sports bar, but the Moscow Mule is killer.
