Hungry Ghost x The Smoke Joint

PLAN DATE: WEDS / JAN. 24

Add to Calendar

PLAN DETAILS:

Start your evening with good conversation and — dare we say it — even better coffee at The Hungry Ghost. We’re big believers in starting date night with coffee, we even wrote a round-up of our favorite cafes in the city to juice up. But next on tonight’s agenda is The Smoke Joint. Think you can only get true BBQ in the South? One bite of the no-frills, all-taste, beloved local establishment’s Beef Short Ribs will have you kicking that silly notion to the curb of Fowler Square.

Hungry Ghost

253 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn

The baristas here live for coffee. Not only do they specialize at adding just the right amount of espresso to every drink, they’re always trying to one-up each other with stunning latte art. Sip on that masterpiece.

idk tip — It’s not our favorite coffee shop for working (not outlet-friendly) in case you planned on bringing your laptop to get a bit of work done.

The Smoke Joint

87 S Elliott Place, Brooklyn

This BBQ joint is pretty sparse when it comes to decor, but that’s not why you come here. You come to soak up the last bit of summer with mouth-watering baby back ribs and whatever else is on the menu tonight. The staff is super hardworking here, and they’ll make sure you’re happy with whatever you choose.

idk tip — The portions are pretty large, so pick a few things and share and be glad you’re in a pair.
