PLAN DATE: SAT / JAN. 12
The ICP Museum (which stands for International Center of Photography) and ArtsClub are teaming up for a photography workshop you don’t want to miss. You and yours will start with a tour of the Eugene Richards exhibition and use his images as a point of inspiration for your creative endeavors coming up next. ICP’s photography instructors will introduce some simple concepts in photography, how to use Fuji Instax cameras, and then you’re off to the races. You both will walk away with two of your own polaroid masterpieces—and a new skill to boot.
Celebrate your picture-perfect coupledom by heading to Uncle Boons for some of the best Thai you’ll find on the island of Manhattan. Here, the vibe is festively kitschy, and the menu rewards adventurous diners. Try the bone marrow slathered in peanut sauce, or the sweetbreads and blood sausage. Traditionalists will find their favorites here too, like pad thai and duck breast. Love never tasted so good.
