PLAN DATE: WEDS / AUG. 14
Since sharing is caring, June is the ideal restaurant to kick things off tonight. Located in the heart of Cobble Hill, small plates are the focal point here—with some highlights including their albacore crude (with strawberry aguachiles, avocado, and serrano) and bloomsdale spinach (with meyer lemon, salted daikon, and breadcrumbs)—and their craft cocktails are guaranteed to lift your spirits (no pun intended). We recommend Modern Kicks—not just because it’s a classy concoction made with hayman’s gin, olive blossom, and uccelli, but also because the name feels appropriately stylish. You will fall in love with the rustic, but eccentric space here, with globe lights lining the ceiling, calacatta marble bartop, and quirky opaque glass partitions.
After dinner, make your way over to 61 Local for Hi Artist x Airbnb Experiences. This monthly pop-up dance experience is one of a kind—imagine Sofar Sounds, but instead of music, it’s an intimate dance performance (with a cocktail party). The performance is split into four short acts, all featuring different performers. You’ll hear the stories behind the works you experience, and post-show, get the chance to talk and connect with the performers too.
