PLAN DATE: FRI / SEPT. 13
Maison Pickle, owned by the same restaurant group as other Upper West Side favorite Jacob’s Pickles, has the tagline “Cocktails and French Dip.” True to their name, they have a luxurious selection of French dip offerings like the deluxe with fried onions, caramelized onions, and Gruyere fondue, as well as the royale with foie gras. The cocktail selection also has lots to offer, from a couple of absinthe drinks to some non-alcoholic options—and everything in between. The restaurant was created to both provide an upscale experience while being approachable for the average diner, and the menu reflects that with counter classics like patty melts and chicken and eggplant parm, while also featuring a 28 day dry aged tomahawk steak with all the fixings.
Next, grab a nightcap at The Parlour Bar & Restaurant, a spacious Irish pub. Settle in with the ample televisions playing sports or start up a game of pool on the table in the front. Almost every night of the week has some kind of event, from trivia to karaoke, so there’s always something going on. Plus, with friendly service and lots of room to relax and chat, what more could you want to finish out the night?
