PLAN DATE: FRI / DEC. 7
Mokum, from the Yiddish word meaning “safe haven”, welcomes guests to their brand new Upper West Side restaurant featuring internationally-inspired dishes, and using only the finest local ingredients the area has to offer. Mokum was born from the partnership between healthy living enthusiast and geneticist Tea Pollock, and chef Ben Vaschetti, who has trained in the finest Michelin starred kitchens around the world. As their first United States project, Vaschetti’s offerings seek to nourish the community through a healthy and vibrant menu. Dine on delicacies like pecan roasted Brussel sprouts, wild mushroom soup, and pan-fried house-made gnocchi.
Make sure to save room for dessert because the second stop of the night is Amorino Gelato Shop. With milkshakes, gourmet desserts, ice cream, and sorbet drinks, it’ll be hard to make up your mind. We suggest the ice cream cornet where you can choose as many flavors as you desire. To top it off, each scoop resembles a rose atop your cone (no pun intended), so get your camera ready.
