PLAN DATE: MON / MAY 28
Love isn’t just in the air at Corner Social, it’s on the menu. Once a week, this adorably rustic restaurant offers Oysters & Champagne Mondays (a quintessential pairing for romance), and you’re invited. At first glance, you’ll love the warm and natural color palette, the combination of brick and subway tile walls, and the quirky trumpet “chandelier” hanging over the bar, but it won’t take long before your inner-foodie comes to life. As if the oysters and champagne weren’t enough of a draw (which run from 5:00 to 11:30 pm, by the way), you’ll quickly become obsessed with their shrimp/mushroom/spinach spin on mac & cheese, as well as their stuffed portobello mushroom & quinoa.
Now that love is officially in the air, it’s time to put the “sweet” in “sweetheart.” Lady Lexis Sweets is a confection shop owned by a mother and daughter, and their baked treats will have you showering the pastry gods with praise. From their homemade Spanish eggnog and sweet potato pie to their signature cookies offering up a wide variety of flavors like Suga Baby Mix-Up and Rum Raisin Oatmeal, this sugar high will be one for the books. (Just keep in mind that they close at 7 pm, so you may want to consider hitting them up before dinner, depending on how late you plan on staying out.)

idk tip: If Champagne isn’t your thing, don’t worry. Try their craft cocktails (we vote for the Harlem Sage, with Tito’s vodka, ginger liqueur, pineapple juice, lime, and fresh sage).

idk tip: In case you only stick with the oysters and champagne for dinner and find yourself hungry for something more, they offer delicious southern-style ready-to-go meals.
