PLAN DATE: WEDS / DEC. 12
Tonight, turn inward with your partner at our guided meditation in partnership with Serene Spaces. While tonight is located in the stunning 38 Parlor, Serene Spaces hosts events in unique locations all around the hustle and bustle of New York City. Their goal is to introduce participants to the idea of carving out space for meditation and reconnection with ourselves and each other. Get your tickets for the event here! Dinner following will be discounted for all meditation-goers.
Following the session, head downstairs to Calle Dao, a Cuban-Chinese restaurant designed to pay homage to the Havana’s once-thriving El Barrio Chino (Chinatown), the largest neighborhood in Havana in the late 1870s. The food effortlessly blends Cuban staples with Asian influences creating unforgettable dishes like Ma Po Maduros with spicy pork, Sichuan peppercorns, toban-djan, and scallions—and Lechon Bao Buns, steamed Bao buns with lechon, pickled plum salsa, and sesame hoisin. Their cocktails also marry the old and new world with historically inspired cocktails made with modern ingredients. Try the 1857 made with orange infused vodka, amaretto, fresh lime juice, ground ginger and sesame oil garnished with star anise, a drink that commemorates the year the first ship carrying Chinese laborers arrived in Cuba.
