PLAN DATE: SUN / MAY 26
Tonight you and your love have the chance to attend one of the most unique comedy shows we know—The Symposium: Academic StandUp presents the Persons with Disabilities Comedy Showcase. The show centers comedy and stories from an intersectional, diverse, and most importantly, hilarious line up of comedians and story-tellers with disabilities who will (in their own words) “teach you something to laugh about.” The show will have an audio description, live closed captioning, and is held in QED Astoria, which aside from being an idk favorite, is also an accessible performance space. We’re pumped.
After laughing your hearts out and enriching your minds, head over to Mosaic for your nightcap. This neighborhood bar is the perfect place to come down from the laughter-high you’ve just experienced. It’s a warm, homey environment and in a stylish setting—you and your S.O. will be treated like family. The bar’s known for its craft beers and wines, but if you’re feeling like a cocktail, we recommend the Sour Cherry Bramble (Spring 44 gin, luxardo maraschino, muddled cherries, fresh lemon juice, cherry heering, absinthe rinse).
