PLAN DATE: WEDS / MAR. 27
Tonight, dinner and a show are in store for you on the Lower East Side. Start out with dinner at the modern and stylish Pig and Khao, a Southeast Asian spot. This restaurant is brought to you by season five Top Chef contestant, Leah Cohen. Combining her Filipino heritage with her Southeast Asian travels, Cohen is serving up sizzling sisig (a Filipino classic), alongside green papaya salad and Malaysian fried chicken. The space is bright, artful, and energetic and will get you both fueled from the food and the vibe for your next stop.
After dinner, head over to Pianos for performances by The Homies Party, The Love Ways, Sister Signs, and RA. Housed in a former piano store, Pianos is a two-level bar and music venue with indie, rock acts on the main stage and DJ sets upstairs. Tonight’s show has acts from 8pm on, and doors open at 6:30pm, so you can catch the music at any point of the night. Each band has a different sound, but are all rooted in rock. Grab a beer and get ready sway on the dance floor.
