Raymi x The Bar at the Nomad Hotel

Whether you’ve been to Peru, or the closest you’ve ever come is meeting someone from Bumble who had Macchu Picchu in their prof pic background, we guarantee you’ve never experienced Peru like this before. Reason being, Raymi is a Peruvian restaurant that celebrates the multicultural spirit of modern-day Peru. With influences from Japan, China, Spain, and West Africa, just to name a few, this NoMad joint may skimp on the empanadas and typical fare, but it goes heavy on dizzying flavors. Close your eyes, point to something on the menu, and we promise it’ll deliver. For the risk averse, we recommend a ceviche to start, followed by the arroz con pollo and lomo saltado.

Once you’ve settled up, head up to the NoMad Hotel and post up at the bar. We can’t think of a better place to end the night on a hot summer day than with a stiff drink in this dark and sexy space. We love the bar director Leo Robitschek’s drink program–with reserve liquors, classics, and rare spirits–this list is every cocktail lover’s dream. Maybe it’s the rum talking, but we’re big fans of the Thick as Thieves cocktail, which features Guyanese rum, Irish whisky, amontillado sherry, and creme de cacao. Cheers!

idk tip: If you have space, the chicken foie gras with crispy skin and black truffle mayo is to.die.for. It’s also not on the regular menu, so if you’re going to get it, you gotta do it here.
