PLAN DATE: WED / JUNE 19
For a place that still feels hole-in-the-wall and not too bougie in this popular Brooklyn neighborhood, start your night drinking at The Sackett. This small bar has a cozy pub feel with the red brick walls, simple outdoor area, and jukebox cranking out tunes. They have a small but unique selection of draft beers for a good price as well as paninis available to munch on. If that doesn’t interest you, they also allow outside food and have board games for the truly bored.
After the bar, come see this month’s version of a drunken show at Littlefield by grabbing a ticket to Drunk Black History. Hosted by Brandon Collins and Gordon Baker-Bone, this show loosely follows the format of the popular TV series and will feature guests telling the stories of black historical figures while rip-roaring drunk. This month has talent from Netflix, HBO, and Comedy Central, and included the hilarious Dulce Sloan, so it’s sure to be both funny and mildly educational.
