PLAN DATE: SAT / APR. 7
If you like options–in your relationship with food, not your relationship with your SO, though if you’re into that, we’re into that too–you’ve probably hit up Seamore’s once or twice. At this stylish seafood restaurant, you can choose how you’d like to highlight your protein: in a taco, in a sandwich, in a bowl, by itself…you get it. The downtown Manhattan favorite has finally opened its first Brooklyn outpost, spotlighting local fish and bringing high-quality, well-sourced ingredients to Dumbo. Check out the newest and largest of Michael Chernow’s restaurants, where you’ll enjoy fresh catch in a breezy, nautical-inspired space.
After, access your inner child, or embrace the kiddult you are and race your SO to Brooklyn Bridge Park for the best horse on the beautiful, antique Jane’s Carousel. Housed in an awe-inducing glass pavilion designed by architect Jean Nouvel, the carousel was meticulously restored and donated by Jane and David Walentas. Take a ride or two on one of the 48 horses or in one of the two chariots, and admire the view–both of the East River, and of your sweetie.
