Jungle Bird x Socarrat Paella Bar

Jungle Bird is actually a tropical cocktail made with rum, Campari, lime juice, simple syrup, and pineapple juice, but it’s also one of the hottest new bars to hit the NYC tropical cocktail circuit. You’ll find a good amount of tabletops with teal colored chairs, light-brown leather banquettes and walls adorned with colorful murals of nude figures by L.A.-based painter Jessalyn Brooks. Bar snacks are inspired by the founder’s trips to South East Asia with delicious salads of green-papaya or turmeric chicken, plus pork-and-herb dumplings with nac cham dipping sauce and more.

Socarrat Paella Bar in Chelsea is the first of 3 NYC locations for Lolo Manso. The Spanish owner opened his restaurant in an effort t0 bring the communal dining experience and traditional paellas and tapas of Spain to NYC. At his rustic but modern restaurant, you and your date might find yourself sitting next to your new best friends at the communal tables (Paella is meant to bring people together and is intended to be shared, whether a party of two or twenty). The menu boasts a wide selection of tapas and paellas and of course, sangria, plus a solid selection of wines from the regions of Spain.
