PLAN DATE: FRI / MAR. 22
If the idea of sitting through a three-hour performance of Cats has you running for the bar, then A Spirited History of Drinking is the perfect show for you. The off-broadway comedy musical is perfect for any couple that wants to take advantage of NYC’s theater scene while keeping it wet and wild. Along with three complimentary craft cocktails to get you in the spirit, this show features songs, science, live demonstrations, and of course, the history of the stuff you’re throwing back.
Soak up some of that alcohol with delicious Thai food over at Yum Yum Too. This restaurant is a response to the popularity of its sister restaurant, Yum Yum, and has more than earned its spot just off Restaurant Row. In addition to their outdoor seating, they boast a classy interior that’s all dark wood, steel accents, and white table clothes, brightened up with some quirky light fixtures. Though their proximity to Times Square has affected the prices, you’ll get large portions and happy hour deals to balance it out. They have a creative list of cocktails and all the red curry, sriracha noodles, and spicy papaya salad you could want.
