PLAN DATE: WEDS / JUL. 11
The couple who reads together, stays together. We love getting lost between the stacks at The Stand Bookstore—one of New York’s most beloved spaces. And when there’s a reason to bring date night to the bookstore, we’re all about it. The Stand frequently hosts readings, book signings and events. Check their full calendar here. Tonight, we’re excited for Milk & Henny: An Evening of Serious Poetry (which, based on the lineup of comedians, we’re not sure is all that serious).
After the reading, head uptown a few blocks for a delectable meal at Danny Meyer’s New American homestead, Union Square Cafe. Grab a private booth upstairs and flip though your new book (same-side-of-the-table dining encouraged).

idk tip: In order to attend most events, The Stand asks that you purchase the author’s book (which if you’re like us, you were planning on doing anyways).

idk tip: The USC burger is famous, but we love the roasted chicken — and the banana tart. And don’t skip the bread! It’s well worth the added calories.
