PLAN DATE: MON / AUG. 27
First, as The Beatles once said, “here comes the sun.” Kick off date night at A Summer Day Cafe, an Italian bistro that does its seasonal name proud. With a luminous disposition and design, this new addition to the neighborhood brings out the sunshiny vibes with a bright, white palette, pops of yellows in their metal, minimalist stools and blood orange table legs, and floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows that make it impossible for this place to not be drenched in a sunny glow. They have a stellar raw bar and a seafood-heavy entree menu that’ll have you leaving satisfied.
After dinner, go from light to dark at Ward III. This dimly lit, sophisticated slice of city living is a gorgeous Tribeca bar with polished ambiance to spare. With a timeless vibe and a cultured aesthetic, wrapped in brick walls, black leather, and a standout lighting fixture crafted out of clustered tubular Edison bulbs, Ward III is the perfect nightcap for a perfect date night. Be sure to keep an eye out for some snappy musical performances.

idk tip: For dessert, go for the Mango Lady. It’s got bruleed mango, chili toasted coconut, vanilla crumble… and may well be the most refreshing dessert in the city.

idk tip: We’re a little obsessed with their Tiki Disco and 22nd Century cocktails. So, have at ‘em.
