PLAN DATE: THURS / JULY 11
Before you set off hand in hand to the movies, sidle up to your love at Table 87 for a slice of pizza heaven. Table 87 churns out authentic, coal-oven pizzas, with the smoky char of the oven subtly seeped into the crispy crust. They sell it by the slice (a rarity for coal oven pizza), so you can get yourself a serving of pizza and ramp it up with some of their other creations. Have an oozing four cheese calzone (fresh mozzarella, fontina, ricotta, and Parmigiano), some rich basil pesto or a satisfying eggplant panini (vine ripe tomatoes, goat cheese) to split, and you’ll leave the table with a full and happy gut.
There’s no movie date more magnificent than the one you’ll get at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s “Movies with a View” outdoor movies series. With the sun going down slowly over Manhattan and the glitter of big buildings in your view, grab a spot on the grass with your person and sit back for a showing of emotionally arresting films all summer long. The final showing will be on August 29th.
