PLAN DATE: FRI / MAY 18
If you’re bored with basic, put your diet on standby and experience the amazingness that is The Shake and Burger Bar. Fashioned as a classic sports bar with a twist, the menu here will have you salivating, with burgers influenced by everything from the Caribbean (this one’s served with fried queso blanco and fried egg on a plantain bun) and old-fashioned mac & cheese (this one’s served with truffle macaroni and cheese and applewood smoked bacon on a pretzel bun), with the standout being the bar’s staple stuffed burger (stuffed with cheddar and American cheese and served with with traditional burger add-ons between a black bun). And while the shakes here are equally impressive (including the Fruit Loop and Juniors Cheesecake Raspberry Milkshake), you may want to save some room for dessert for later on.
After dinner, build up an appetite on your short walk to Tipsy Scoop to get—well—tipsy on a scoop of ice cream. This artsy parlor isn’t just adorable (the brick wall, distressed wood counter, and drunk ice cream logo are notable touches), but the gorgeously presented liquor-infused ice cream will satisfy your sweet tooth, while also giving you a pleasurable buzz. While you can keep things simple ordering from their classic flavor options like Vanilla Bean Bourbon, Strawberry White Sangria Sorbet, or Cake Batter Vodka Martini, keep an eye out for their ever-changing seasonal flavors. (Also, you may be happy to know that they deliver.)
