PLAN DATE: THURS / AUG. 9
Theaterlab is exactly the sort of place you want to go to see underground, gritty, real, hilarious and unexpected theater that doesn’t cost you an entire paycheck. If you’re the type of couple that enjoys supporting local productions, that’s Theaterlab’s main prerogative. An “artistic laboratory” dedicated to developing new and experimental work, Theaterlab supports New York City’s diverse community of artists. The show currently on stage, This Might Be The End, runs from August 9th through 18, and tickets are $25. The show is “an intimate confrontation with our greatest fear as artists: what if this is the last show we ever make?”
Once the curtain falls, make your way to Friedman’s, a restaurant serving an assortment of traditional and modern dishes with an emphasis on mindful dining. The menu features healthier items like grain bowls alongside indulgences like chicken and waffles and chicken pot pie. All ingredients are farm fresh and local, and the meats are antibiotic-free.
