PLAN DATE: TUES / DEC. 4
The Upper East Side is home to some of the most romantic restaurants in New York. Not excluding Uva, a rustic, relaxed wine bar that serves Italian fare. A collaborative effort from the owners of the neighboring Lusardi’s, Due, and Luke’s, the restaurant offers starters like Carciofi Fritti (fried artichokes), the Spiedino di Gamberetti (grilled shrimp skewers) and the Mozzarella in Camicia (mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto, swoon). But the pasta is what always keeps us coming back for more—like the Gnocchi di Ricotta and Pappardelle al Ragu. You and your S.O. can enjoy your meal seated in the main dining room, the year-round backyard patio, or the private wine cellar (yes, you read that right).
After your rom-com level meal, cap it off with dessert at HARBS. This Japanese-born cafe is committed to using fresh and high-quality ingredients in their baked goods. And, trust us, you’ll be able to taste the difference. Whether you try their unique take on classic chocolate cake, or go for something more adventurous like the Mille crepes cake (a gâteau made from 20 carefully stacked crêpes layered with pastry cream), the one common element is the light fluffiness all their slices share. Regardless of your choice, you won’t leave disappointed.
