Vandal x The Exhibition Comedy Show

Tonight is all about locations with a creative edge, and it begins at Vandal. This LES restaurant is all about street food inspired by cultures from all over the world (see: lobster sopes from Mexico, sweet potato and roasted apple tortellini from Italy, and hot pretzel steak tartare from New York), and the overall decor does its diverse inspirations proud. The dark wood-and-cement backdrop is offset by massive multicolored murals, multiculturally-influenced graffiti is plastered throughout, and even the pendant light fixtures could double as pieces of art. The mood is cool, the ambiance is inspired, and the plating shares Vandal’s quirky, colorful personality.

After dinner, head to PUBLIC Hotel for the Exhibition Comedy Show from Michael Cruz Kayne and Mary Beth Barone. A monthly show, the Exhibition comedy show features comedians like Rosebud Baker and Pat Regan (and even some unexpected guests who have roots in everything from Comedy Central to Netflix) inside the hotel’s red velvet-dressed, candle-lit, tufted leather-clad performance space PUBLIC ART. General Admission is $15, and VIP reserved seating (with a complimentary cocktail) is $40.
