PLAN DATE: MON / APR. 2
The moment you enter Via Trenta, you’ll feel as though you’ve entered an oversized Italian wine cellar. The stacked wine, rustic shiplap ceiling, and brick walls set the tone, then the food reinforces this restaurant’s strict attention to detail. They offer traditional Italian options, but the individual pizzas are their crowning achievement—with the Tartufata (with pecorino, caciocavallo, mozzarella, fontina, wild mushrooms, and truffle cream) winning us over most of all.
Next, you’re going to fall in love with Sweet Afton’s authentic Irish pub. With exposed metal beams on the ceiling and a dark shiplap-lined bar, the main attraction here are the cocktails. Between their Jameson-based Patron Saint and Earl Grey-infused Sweet Tea (FYI: there’s no actual tea in this drink), Sweet Afton is the perfect sort of alehouse to lose yourselves in conversation. The vibe is intimate, the lighting’s low, and there are even some delicious virgin options in case you want to keep the evening going, but aren’t too keen on total inebriation.

idk tip: Wine is definitely the obvious choice for drinks, but don’t pass up their Sicilian Lemonade (which is basically an elevated spin on Limoncello).
