We Met At Acme: Atla x Acme

Sometimes when we text our S.O’s at work about date night plans, it goes something like this:

“Babe—what are we doing for dinner tonight?”

“Yesssss. Where?”

Moments like this are what we live for (and have lived through), and it’s something We Met At Acme, a podcast (and addictive Instagram account) about millennial dating hosted by Lindsey Metselaar, is especially familiar with. Tonight’s plan is designed by Lindsey herself. Starting with ATLA, the chic restaurant made for your Mexican cravings and date night needs. Brought to you by Chef Olvera of Cosme fame, ATLA specializes in delicious and fresh Mexican flavors in a relaxed setting. We recommend going family-style here, and the fresh herb guacamole, zesty green chicken enchiladas, and Arctic char tostadas are not to be missed. Top it all off with mezcal margaritas, and for dessert, the sweet corn tamale or dark chocolate and tonka bean pudding.

But of course, the date can’t end there. Your next stop is ACME, Lindsey’s podcast namesake. More specifically, you two will head downstairs to the converted rock n’ roll club and cocktail bar that also regularly hosts private events. Order the “Do You, Mr. Jones?” with Old Forester bourbon, Benedictine, bitters, vermouths, and cucumber or the Peach Bum Daquiri with Bacardi, rhubarb, lime, and peach liqueur. And if you get hungry again, they have great bar snacks like crispy artichokes and house pickled vegetables. That’s what we call a fantastic date night. Thanks, We Met At Acme!
