PLAN DATE: SAT / AUG. 17
Your unique and personal love story is one that’s always a little pleasure to tell, and at Caveat, you might just be able to give it the gift of song. Professional musical theater comedians Rebecca Vigil and Evan Kaufman present Your Love, Our Musical, a bright, glorious and funny improv sketch based on one lucky couple’s love story—turning cherished tinder dates, college crushes and subway miracles into a brilliant and highly entertaining production. If you get picked, you’ll hear choruses singing your names, lyrics about your cute couple quirks, and scenes recreating your favorite moments. And if you don’t get picked, it’s still one of the most hysterical/impressive shows we’ve ever been to.
Close the evening with a nightcap (and maybe some ‘jewels on toast’) at Beauty & Essex. Your sweetie will immediately be impressed when they see the sumptuous space and swanky cocktails hidden behind the pawn shop doors. Order Earl the Pearl, made with stoli vodka, Earl Grey tea, lemon, and mint syrup, and pair it with a fitting date night selection, Mr. Right, made with jalapeño infused tequila, lime, celery bitters, and IPA.

idk tip: Prepare to be seriously amazed. After interviewing the lucky couple (don’t worry, you have to raise your hand to be picked), Rebecca and Evan immediately begin the musical without any backstage prep. Even the band (a pianist and drummer), are improvising on the fly. It’s a wow.

idk tip: They have an incredible selection of shared plates — ranging from bulgogi ribeye tacos and grilled cheese dumplings to ‘Chile relleno’ empanadas and Thai-style deep-fried shrimp.
